Departments FAQs

Department positions are created in the Positions app. 

Departments are the foundation of your organization, offering the structure, specialization, and coordination necessary to achieve your company's goals. The Departments app allows you to create and manage departments efficiently within your organization. 

Departments are fundamental and are used in many of the core Appward apps such as Positions and Training Director.

Tags are custom labels used to categorize departments, providing better organization and searchability. For more on how tags are used throughout Appward, check out Using Tags

Yes, you can view the employees and their positions within a department. Select the department from the Departments tab, and a detailed view will display all the employees and their corresponding positions within that department. This allows you to see each employee's name, picture, and their role in the organization. 

By default, departments are sorted alphabetically.
