Inspections FAQs

The evaluator is responsible for assessing the inspection results, determining compliance with standards, and providing feedback. They review the findings, document their evaluation

The stages of an inspection include:

  • Pending: The inspection is scheduled but not yet started.
  • Active: The inspection is currently in progress.
  • Evaluate: The results are being assessed against established standards.
  • Closed: The inspection is completed, and the results have been processed.

With the progress control buttons you can take the following actions:

  • Start: Begin the inspection.
  • Pause: Temporarily pause the inspection.
  • Stop: End the inspection, temporarily or permanently.
  • Reopen: Resume a stopped inspection.
  • Reset: Restart the inspection from the beginning.

To associate a checklist with an inspection, click the Change Checklist button which will bring up a list of your organization's existing checklists. Select the desired checklist from this list to associate it with an inspection. For more on checklists, please check out our Getting Started with Checklist Creator guide.

Yes, Inspection data can be exported by generating reports. These reports are available in PDF format and can be downloaded from the Reports tab.

No, the Inspections app currently supports assigning only one inspector per inspection.

Inspection types are classifications used to categorize inspections based on their specific focus or requirements. They are visually represented with custom names, colors, and images, allowing you to organize and manage inspection data according to your business needs. By pressing the Settings button in the top right corner of the app you can bring up the Configure Settings popup. Here you can customize various aspects of your inspections, including assigning custom background colors, foreground colors, result labels, and other settings related to the pass/fail status of inspections.

The Inspections app helps you manage quality control by enabling you to create checklists, reference specifications, log issues, and generate reports. It centralizes and tracks inspection activities across your organization, ensuring you maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and improvement.
