Thursday February 29, 2024-1 min readWhat is a Board?
A Board, in the context of project management, is a visual representation of tasks and their statuses. Think of it as a digital whiteboard where you can organize tasks into columns or lists, with each task represented by a card. Boards help teams visualize their workflow, track progress and collaborate effectively on projects. In the Boards app, you can create multiple boards for different projects or teams, making it easy to manage tasks and stay organized.
What is the Boards app for?
The Boards app in Appward serves as a dynamic project management tool, drawing inspiration from Kanban boards to help organize and track tasks effectively within your organization.
How does it work?
With the Boards app, you can easily browse through all of your organization’s boards, cards and favorite boards. Within each board, you can track tasks using individual cards, which can include a description, assigned team members and collaborative features for logging progress and updates.
Key Features:
-
Task Tracking: Organize tasks into cards within boards, allowing for easy visualization and management of project progress.
-
Collaboration: Collaborate with team members by assigning tasks, updating progress and logging every step of the journey directly within the app.
-
Progress Updates: Intuitively update the progress of cards using lists, such as from pending to in progress to review to complete, providing clear visibility into task status.
-
Communication: Notify relevant team members or assigners of card updates via posts, facilitating communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
