Appward's access control system is designed to tailor app access for different users, ensuring maximum efficiency and security. Admin-level users enjoy top-tier access, granting them permission to all apps within the platform. This means they have full control and visibility across the board. On the other hand, lower-level users' access is customized by admins. They only see the apps relevant to their roles and responsibilities, ensuring they focus on what matters most. With this system, you can confidently manage access levels, safeguarding sensitive data and streamlining workflows. Whether you're an admin overseeing the entire organization or a lower-level user focused on specific tasks, Appward offers a seamless and secure user experience.

You've got full control over your workspace appearance in Appward. Simply click on your profile picture in the top-right corner to access your User Settings. A popup will show up displaying your contact details. Click on the Settings button at the top to enter your account settings. From there, navigate to the Display tab, where you can customize your workspace background and adjust the colors of various Appward elements. With this level of customization, you can create a workspace that reflects your style and preferences, making your Appward experience truly personalized and enjoyable. 

To log out, simply click your profile image in the top right corner, then click the Logout button from the top of the popup window that appears. 

Appward's Spotlight Search feature simplifies the process of finding anything you need within the platform. To access it, click on the magnifying glass icon on the left side dock. Once opened, you can utilize various filters to narrow down your search, whether it's content from a post or specific app records. Refine your search by contact, timeframe or the type of object you're looking for. Once you've located what you need, effortlessly jump straight to its location within the platform. With Spotlight Search, navigating through Appward becomes intuitive and efficient, ensuring you find the information you need with ease. 

Appward is fully accessible from your phone, offering a mobile-friendly version of the platform. With this mobile version, you can conveniently access your notifications and Forum posts. Stay connected with your organization, communicate with colleagues, and stay updated on important developments—all from the palm of your hand. Whether you're on the go or working remotely, Appward's mobile accessibility ensures you're always in the loop and able to stay productive.

To make sure specific individuals are notified when writing a post or message in Appward, simply use the @Mention feature. This handy tool allows you to select contacts, positions or departments within your organization. When composing your message, type the "@" symbol, and a popup will appear where you can search through your organization's contacts, positions and departments. You can mention as many people as necessary to ensure they receive the notification. Once you send out the message or post, all mentioned parties will receive a notification. What's more, recipients can easily navigate to the location of the post by clicking the external link icon for full context and connectivity. With @Mentions, staying informed and connected within your organization has never been easier. 

Customizing your sidebar notification preferences in Appward is straightforward. Simply click on the notification bell icon located on the left side dock, then click the cog symbol in the top right corner. From there, you can adjust whether you want the notifications flyout to appear when a new notification comes in and if you prefer to have a sound accompany each notification. You can choose from a variety of pre-set sounds provided by Appward or even add your own. Once you've made your selections, click "Ok" to confirm your changes. These personalized settings ensure you stay focused and informed without unnecessary distractions. 

By default, Appward apps are anchored to the home screen, occupying the full screen and positioned at the top right corner of the workspace. However, if you accidentally un-anchor an app by clicking and dragging it around, its tab will no longer appear at the top of your workspace. To re-attach or re-anchor the app, simply click the anchor icon located in the top-right corner of the app header. This action will restore the app to its original anchored state, ensuring it remains easily accessible from the home screen.

Yes, you can view multiple apps simultaneously in Appward by opening multiple browser windows. Since each app window maximizes to your screen size, this setup makes it easy to multitask and access different apps at once. With this simple approach, you can efficiently manage your tasks and workflows, enhancing your productivity with Appward. 

Appward offers helpful tools and services to streamline data import processes. Firstly, there's the Getting Started feature, specifically designed to assist new organizations in onboarding seamlessly. This feature helps import essential company details like Departments, Positions, Companies, Contacts and Employees into their respective apps. You can choose from a default list provided by Appward or add your own custom data.


Secondly, there's the Importers app, a powerful tool for bulk data import. This app allows you to efficiently import large quantities of data via spreadsheets. You have full control over what data you import and how you want to utilize it, whether it's creating Employees, Departments, Leads or other records.

To link to a specific record in Appward using AppShare, follow these simple steps:

  1. Create a Forum post or message to the relevant parties involved.
  2. Type "#" in the text to trigger the AppShare feature.
  3. Select the type of item you want to link to (e.g., Project, Article).
  4. Search and find the specific record you want to create a link for.
  5. Once you've selected the record, it will appear with a highlighted background color.
  6. From here, you can send the message, and involved party can click on the link.

By using AppShare, you can efficiently create direct links to records within Appward, allowing users to jump straight to the relevant information. This enhances connectivity and streamlines communication and collaboration within your organization. 

Appward's deletion recovery system provides a 5-day window for recovering deleted records, ensuring that you never permanently lose valuable data. To recover a deleted record in Appward, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Deletions app, located under the Utilities category.
  2. Within the Deletions app, search for the record you want to recover.
  3. Once you've located the record, hover over it to reveal the options.
  4. Click on the "Recover" button associated with the record.
  5. The record will then be restored and available again within your Appward account. 

This feature offers peace of mind and safeguards against accidental deletions. 

To remove a user from your organization in Appward, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Admin app, located under the Utilities category.
  2. Find the user you wish to remove from the organization.
  3. Select the user's record to view their details.
  4. In the top-right corner of the user's details flyout, click on the "Delete" button.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

To limit which apps users can access in Appward, you can use the Roles app found under the Utilities category. There are two ways to limit the apps of users:

  1. Roles management

    • Create specific roles with pre-set lists of available apps. Define the apps each role can access according to their responsibilities and permissions.
    • Assign users to these roles based on their roles and responsibilities within the organization.

  2. Utilize the Contacts tab to tailor app access for specific users

    • Navigate to the individual user's profile within the Contacts app.
    • Customize their access to apps according to their role, responsibilities and specific needs.
    • Adjust their access rights by enabling or disabling access to specific apps as required.

By leveraging the Roles app and the Contacts app, administrators can effectively control and limit which apps users can access within Appward. This granular control ensures that users have access only to the tools and functionalities necessary for their roles, promoting security and efficiency within the organization. 

Adding a new user to your organization is easy with Appward's Admin app. This tool, available in the Utilities category, is designed for admin-level users, making user management a breeze. Just open the Admin app, add the new user, connect them to an existing contact and set their permissions—all in one simple process. With its user-friendly interface and streamlined functionality, Appward takes the hassle out of managing users, making it a must-have for smooth organization management. 

To reset your password in Appward, you have two options:

  1. From the Login Screen:

    • If you're logged out of the platform, navigate to the login screen.
    • Click on the "Forgot password?" link located at the bottom.
    • Enter the email associated with your account.
    • If the email is found in the Appward database, a password reset link will be emailed to you.
  2. From Within the Platform:

    • If you're already logged in, click on your profile image in the top right corner of your workspace.
    • Select the "Change password" option.
    • A 6-digit code will be sent to the email linked to your account.
    • Input this code into the window that pops up in Appward.
    • Follow the prompts to reset your password.
